A night of indie rock and folk-rock featuring Luke Hogfoss, Faint Shape and Rachel Ewen at the historic Conor Byrne Pub in Ballard.
Luke Hogfoss headlines Conor Byrne Pub on Saturday, October 10, with Faint Shape and Rachel Ewen opening. It's a three-act bill in Ballard, and the night runs on a shared stage rather than a single headliner taking over.
Hogfoss is a songwriter who's spent a fair amount of time on the road. Born in Atlanta and raised in Beaufort, South Carolina, he moved to Washington to attend Western Washington University in Bellingham, drawn by the music scene here. He played in the post-punk band The Palisades, which toured and performed on KEXP, and later toured with the indie band The Co-Founder. He wrote his first solo album, Island, while on the road; his second, Florida, interweaves personal experience with fictional characters.
Faint Shape blends indie rock, shoegaze and dream pop into stripped-back arrangements with minimal instrumentation and vocals. Rachel Ewen is a Pacific Northwest singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who's worked as a vocalist and keyboardist in the Seattle scene for nearly a decade. She began releasing music under her own name in 2023, writing often a cappella and drawing from 60s and 70s folk-rock alongside 2000s pop icons.
