Lucy Bedroque performs live with support from pinponpanpon at The Showbox, part of the 003 Tour.
Lucy Bedroque plays The Showbox on Monday, November 9, with pinponpanpon opening. It's part of the 003 Tour, and the show starts at 8 PM.
Lucy Bedroque is the moniker of nineteen-year-old Los Angeles-based Jeremiah Mark (they/he). They first built a following under the name Lostrushi, whose debut LP Sisterhood brought them notoriety alongside peers 9lives, prettifun and egobreak. The shift to Bedroque came with Unmusique, a seventeen-track digicore and hardcore hip-hop release on deadAir Records that established them in the underground scene.
Mark's music mixes cutthroat rage with the eclecticism of Stereolab, Radiohead and Deftones. The production on Unmusique comes from SKAI (Ken Carson) and Osamason, and the record features multi-octave vocals from Cranes (xaviersobased, Nettspend). That combination of heavy, distorted energy and more expansive, melodic influences is what defines the sound.
