A nationally touring comedy-dating show where men compete for a bachelorette without being allowed to speak, hosted by Allison Goldberg.
Allison Goldberg brings her touring comedy/dating show Love Isn't Blind to the Fremont Abbey Arts Center on Thursday, October 8. It's a live dating experiment that works by taking the usual chaos of modern dating and making it a bit messier: four men come on stage to compete for one bachelorette, with the catch that they aren't allowed to speak. Instead, Goldberg calls their mothers and searches through their phones to get the real story.
That's where the comedy comes in. It's part dating show and part public embarrassment ritual, built around awkward games, raucous audience participation, and the kind of painfully funny reveals that happen when you let someone else do the talking for you. It's a nationally touring show that's built a cult following along the way, and it's been featured on NBC's California Live and The Tamron Hall Show, as well as in LA Magazine and Time Out.
The night is hosted by Goldberg herself, who also created the show. It's staged at the Fremont Abbey Arts Center, a nonprofit 501c3 that's been presenting intimate seated concerts, modern dance, storytelling, and visual arts across Seattle's historic venues since 2005.
