Metalcore band Kingdom of Giants performs live at The Vera Project in Seattle, with support from Deadlands Night Rider.
Kingdom of Giants play The Vera Project on Saturday, November 14, with support from Deadlands Night Rider. It's an all-ages show, so you can bring along younger friends or siblings who usually get shut out of the city's later-night metal bills.
Kingdom of Giants is a six-piece metalcore band from Sacramento, California, formed back in 2011. Their first major album, Ground Culture, came out after they signed to InVogue Records in the autumn of 2014. It was produced by Andreas Magnusson, who has worked with Haste The Day, The Black Dahlia Murder, and Fit For A King. The band lists Volumes, Fit For A King, Phinehas, and I, The Breather as influences, and their sound is fronted by vocalist Dana Willax, with guitarists Max Bremer and Julian Perez and drummer Truman Berlin rounding out the lineup.
Critics have pointed to the band's dynamic sound and the lyrical themes they lean into—questioning religious faith, exploring mortality, and dealing with the loss of family members. It's a heavy set that doesn't shy away from those kinds of subjects.
