Concert by composer and songwriter Kelsey Lu performing her album 'So Help Me God' at The Rabbit Box Theatre.
Kelsey Lu plays The Rabbit Box on Tuesday, October 13, with doors opening at 5 PM and the show starting at 6 PM. It's a single-bill night, so she's the only one on the program.
Lu is a composer and songwriter born in North Carolina and based in New York City, and she works across sound, image, and performance. Her 2019 debut Blood was followed by So Help Me God, a ten-track album co-produced by Jack Antonoff and Yves Rothman, mixed by Oli Jacobs, and featuring Kim Gordon, Sampha, and Kamasi Washington. She's as much a composer as a songwriter, and that side of her work has led to original scores for Netflix's Daughters, A24's Earth Mama, and Neon's Clarissa.
Her collaborations cover a wide range, from musicians like Debbie Harry, Solange, Jamie XX, and Skrillex to artistic partnerships with Nan Goldin, Wu Tsang, and Jacolby Satterwhite, and work with brands including Gucci, Miu Miu, and Bottega Veneta. The Rabbit Box itself is an all-ages theatre, bistro, and bar in the heart of Pike Place Market, so it's a spot that works for all ages.
