A variety spectacle featuring burlesque, drag, magic and acrobatics, centred on emcee Kat Robichaud and her band The Darling Misfits.
Kat Robichaud brings GHOSTED to The Triple Door from Thursday, November 12, through Saturday, November 14. It's the 21st original show from her Misfit Cabaret, a variety spectacle built around original music and a rotating cast of eccentric performers. The acts run from burlesque and drag to circus and magic, with Robichaud herself emceeing the whole thing.
Robichaud is a San Francisco theatre maverick who became one of the most electric contestants on The Voice and has since staged her own Bowie- and Burton-inspired rock operas. Critics have called her a "glitter-rock diva" and her shows "a deliciously eclectic medley of performers." The Triple Door bills this particular production as "a specter of a spectacle," and the room welcomes audiences of all ages.
She's not on her own for this one. She'll be backed by her band, The Darling Misfits, and joined by drag darlings Polly Amber Ross and Oliver Branch, burlesque babes Ava Lanche and Countess Wednesday, and contortion by Apsara Sin. Between the music, the drag, the burlesque, and the contortion, there's enough on the bill to keep things moving.
