Soul and gospel artist Jervis Campbell performs live at Barboza in Seattle as part of his Good Grief! Tour.
Jervis Campbell brings his Good Grief! Tour to Barboza on Wednesday, November 18, with Allie Paige opening. Campbell is a soul and gospel artist based in Nashville, Tennessee, originally from Charlotte, North Carolina. He built his following on warm, faith-centered indie rock, and his style now blends CCM, folk rock, soul, alternative and gospel.
What started as a solo project has grown into a tight live band that adds grit and swing to his melodies. His baritone sits upfront, backed by clean electric guitar, round bass and roomy drums, though he often travels light with a guitar-and-keys core. The Good Grief! Tour is billed as bringing raw emotion, soaring vocals and high energy, with sing-along anchors like "Teach Me" and "Glory" likely to anchor the set. If you're not familiar with his work, you might also enjoy Josh Garrels, Ben Rector and Cory Asbury.
