JazzVox house concert with British jazz vocalist and pianist Anthony Strong and Seattle bass player Greg Feingold.
Anthony Strong is playing JazzVox in South Seattle on Saturday, October 17, as part of the JazzVox House Concerts series. He'll be on vocals and piano, joined on bass by Greg Feingold. It's one of the dates in the series' 19th season, and tickets are already sold out.
Strong is a British jazz vocalist and pianist whom the organizers remember from a Jazz Alley show a few years back. They describe him as filling the role of "The English Gentleman," which gives you a fair sense of the vibe he brings to the stage. He's not just singing; he's handling the piano himself, so the night is built around his voice and his playing. Greg Feingold, a Seattle favorite, rounds out the duo on bass, making it a stripped-back, two-person lineup.

It's a house concert, so the whole evening is more than just the music. Doors open at 6 PM and food is served then, with the music starting at 7 PM. The night is for ages 14 and over, and anyone under 18 needs to be accompanied by an adult. Tickets were $68.
