Jason Ross performs live at The Showbox as part of his The True North Tour.
Jason Ross plays The Showbox on Friday, December 11, as part of his True North Tour. He's one of dance music's more elusive figures, known for a versatility that's become his trademark.
For a while, Ross was a mainstay on Anjunabeats, a rising star of new age trance under the wing of Above & Beyond. But he eventually outgrew those four-to-the-floor grooves and started exploring broken beats and melodic bass. That shift led to a close working relationship with Seven Lions, and the two turned out genre-defining tracks like "Higher Love" and "Ocean."
His discography runs from the 2019 Anjunabeats EP Rooms to his first full album, 1000 Faces, in 2022, and then Atlas, released on Seven Lions' Ophelia Records. He also runs his own sub-label, Atlas, which carries that same worldly, genre-melding approach. If you've followed him from the trance days, this tour is a good place to see where he's landed since.
