Comedy show by Ilana Glazer, co-creator of 'Broad City', performing her debut special 'The Planet Is Burning' at The Moore Theatre.
Ilana Glazer is coming to The Moore Theatre on Tuesday, October 6, for a night of stand-up. The show is presented by Seattle Theatre Group, and it's part of the tour for her debut comedy special, The Planet Is Burning, which premiered on Amazon Prime.
If you know her, you probably know her as one half of Broad City, the five-season show she co-created, wrote, directed, executive produced, and starred in. That series earned a Writers Guild of America nomination for Best Comedy Series, and it's where she spent years refining the kind of comedic timing she's bringing to the stage. This tour is her first full-length special, so it's a good chance to see her stand-up in person rather than through a screen.
Beyond Broad City, she's worked across a few different formats. She voiced the character EB in the Netflix series Green Eggs and Ham (2019) and has spent time on the big screen, too. She co-wrote and produced the A24 horror film False Positive, which starred Justin Theroux and Pierce Brosnan, and she acted opposite Scarlett Johansson in Rough Night, following an appearance in The Night Before. She also co-founded the Generator Collective with Glennis Meagher in 2016, signed a first-look deal with Comedy Central and Viacom Television with Abbi Jacobson, and trained at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater.
