Pop-punk band Hit the Lights perform live at Barboza in Seattle.
Hit the Lights play Barboza on Friday, November 13, 2026. They're a pop-punk band that started in Lima, Ohio, back in 2003, and they've spent the years since then playing high-energy punk with emo-tinged hooks and breakdowns. Along the way, they've shared stages with Paramore and New Found Glory.
Their discography goes back a while. This Is A Stickup... Don't Make It A Murder came out in 2006 on Triple Crown, and Summer Bones followed in 2015 on Pure Noise. Their most recent record, Invicta, is the one they're talking about most these days. Guitarist Omar Zehery and vocalist Nick Thompson both call it their most cathartic and dynamic work to date, and it's widely regarded as their most accomplished record. It was recorded in separate sessions by two producers: Mike Sapone, who has worked with Brand New and Taking Back Sunday, and Machine, known for his work with Lamb Of God and Four Year Strong. The album opens with the anthem "Invincible" and closes with "Oh My God."
If you've followed them from the early days, you'll recognize the high-energy punk they've always played, but Invicta is where they've leaned into that more dynamic, cathartic side of things. It's a good place to start if you're new to them, and it'll give you a sense of where they're at now.
