Emo-folk duo hey, nothing perform live at Neumos, with support from The Hound.
hey, nothing play Neumos on Wednesday, October 7, with The Hound opening. It's a mid-week show in Capitol Hill, and the duo is coming off a run that's taken them across the US and over to Europe.
If you haven't come across them yet, hey, nothing is Tyler Mabry and Harlow Phillips, two best friends who describe their sound as emo-folk. The two voices work together in a tight vocal interplay, and the lyrics lean into heavy, literary territory—addiction, toxicity, trauma, and family struggles. They cite Stephen Chbosky's The Perks of Being a Wallflower as an influence, and that same kind of raw, coming-of-age honesty runs through their writing.
They're barely 21, but they've spent the last couple of years playing a lot of stages. Much of 2025 was spent headlining their own runs and playing major festivals like Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Shaky Knees, Austin City Limits, and All Things Go. They also played Live at Leeds, Pitchfork London, and Pitchfork Paris, and wrapped up a support tour with Cage the Elephant. NPR Music, Alternative Press, Stereogum, and Brooklyn Vegan have all written about them.
