Singer-songwriter Griffin House performs live at The Rabbit Box in Seattle's Pike Place Market.
Griffin House plays The Rabbit Box on Saturday, October 24. He's an American singer-songwriter and storyteller who's been touring and recording for more than 20 years, with a discography that now spans over 13 albums. The show is just him, so it's a singer-songwriter night in the middle of Pike Place Market.
He's been at this a long time. His 2004 debut Lost and Found landed him a spot on CBS Sunday Morning, where critic Bill Flanagan named him one of the best emerging singer-songwriters of his time. He built his following opening for acts like John Mellencamp and the Cranberries before breaking through as a national headliner in 2009, following an appearance on Late Night with Craig Ferguson and the underground hit "The Guy That Says Goodbye to You is Out of His Mind."
There's a bit more to his story than just the records. The 2019 music documentary Rising Star chronicles his life as a traveling troubadour balancing music with marriage, fatherhood, and sobriety. His songs have appeared on shows like One Tree Hill, Rescue Me, Party of Five, and Everwood, and he's been reviewed in Paste, No Depression, and Rolling Stone. His EP The Tides was recorded with Grammy winner Jacquire King.
