Gramatik performs live at the WAMU Theater as part of the BOO Seattle 2026 festival.
Gramatik plays the WAMU Theater on Friday, October 30, as part of BOO SEATTLE 2026, a two-day festival running October 30 and 31 at the venue. Gramatik is the stage name of Denis Jasarevic, a producer from Portorož, Slovenia, and he's the main feature for the night.
If you're not familiar with what he does, it's a lot to fit into one description. He describes his sound across a wide range of styles: electro soul, future bass, future funk, bass, dubstep, funk, future soul, hip hop, electro, electro funk, jazz and trap. It's a broad spread that pulls from dance, soul, and hip hop, and he's known for blending them into a single set rather than sticking to one lane. The festival context adds another layer to it—this is the first night of a two-day run, so it's part of a larger weekend of music at the theater.
Jasarevic also writes his own bio, and it's not exactly a standard press kit. He puts it this way: 'I make music sometimes. But most of the time I just like to smoke weed. And then download my favorite TV shows. Illegally. My favorite color is black and I'm not a Vegan. I have a mustache.' It's a deadpan look at the person behind the producer name, and it gives you a sense of the mood he brings to the table.
