Concert by the experimental rock duo Frog at Neumos, with special guests.
Frog play Neumos on Monday, October 19, with special guests opening the bill. They're a two-person guitar band from New Rochelle, New York, and they describe themselves as hailing from the swamp.
Their self-titled debut mini-album came out on Brooklyn's now-defunct Monkfish Records, and Gold Flake Paint called it "The best American guitar record of the year." The duo returned in 2015 with their first full-length, Kind of Blah, on Audio Antihero, which gave us the fan-favorite singles "Judy Garland" and "Photograph." They toured the UK after that, a run documented in the 2018 film Kings of Blah.
In November 2018 they released Whatever We Probably Already Had, and in August 2019 they followed it with the freak-folk opus Count Bateman, which includes the stoner hit "You Know I'm Down."
