Frankie Cosmos celebrates the 10-year anniversary of her album 'Next Thing' with a live performance, supported by Coral Grief, at the historic venue The Crocodile.
Frankie Cosmos plays The Crocodile on Monday, October 26, with Coral Grief opening. It's a ten-year anniversary show for Next Thing, the record that put Greta Kline on the map. If you've followed her since then, you know the project has changed a lot since that first release.
Frankie Cosmos is the project of Greta Kline, a songwriter and guitarist who's been sharing music for more than a decade. She's released on Sub Pop Records and self-released on Bandcamp, where she has more than 50 albums to her name. She spent most of 2013 through 2019 on the road, and her writing usually focuses on small moments and personal relationships. Jenn Pelly, writing for Pitchfork, called her 'a savior of indie pop and the poet laureate of New York City DIY.'
Her latest album, Different Talking (2025), was recorded, arranged, produced, and played by her current bandmates: Greta Kline, Alex Bailey, Katie Von Schleicher, and Hugo Stanley. That's the group she's touring with now, and they're the ones who'll be on stage at The Crocodile. Between that new material and the ten-year-old songs from Next Thing, the set should pull from two very different eras of her work.
