Irish post-punk band Fontaines D.C. perform live at the WAMU Theater in Seattle, with support from Westside Cowboy.
Fontaines D.C. play the WAMU Theater on Saturday, May 8, 2027, as part of their North American tour. The Dublin five-piece has been on the road across the States, and this is their Seattle stop. They're not coming alone, either: Westside Cowboy opens the night.
If you've followed them for a while, you know the sound has shifted. The early records were built on a driving, post-punk energy—sharp guitars, a propulsive rhythm section, and Grian Chatten's distinct, spoken-word delivery. The newer material has moved in a different direction, trading some of that urgency for more space and a slower, more deliberate pace. It's a change that's become a central part of their recent work, and it's what they're touring now. Hearing it live is the best way to get a sense of where they've landed.

Westside Cowboy takes the stage first, so there's a full bill to work through before the headliner. The show starts at 8 PM, and the WAMU Theater is right in the heart of the city, so it's an easy enough trip for anyone coming from downtown or the surrounding neighborhoods. If you're planning to be there, keep in mind it's a Saturday night in May, so give yourself a little extra time to get in. Tickets are available through the venue and Live Nation.
