Concert by the South Korean hip-hop trio Epik High as part of their North America 3.0 tour at the Neptune Theatre.
Epik High are playing the Neptune Theatre on Sunday, October 25, at 8 PM. It's a stop on their North America 3.0 tour, and they're the only act on the bill.
If you're not familiar with them, Epik High is a Korean hip-hop trio made up of Tablo, Mithra Jin, and DJ Tukutz. Tablo and Mithra Jin handle the rapping and songwriting, and DJ Tukutz is on the decks. They've been together since the early 2000s, and they're one of the most well-known names in the Korean hip-hop scene, with a long run of albums and a reputation for blending rap with pop and electronic elements.
Because they're a trio, the live show is built around the three of them on stage together: the two MCs trading verses and Tukutz holding it down on the turntables. It's a straightforward hip-hop setup, and the set will draw from their catalog, which spans more than two decades of work. If you've followed them for years, you'll recognize the older tracks; if you're just getting into them, it's a good way to hear where they started and where they've gone since.
