Metalcore band Emmure performs live at The Showbox in Seattle as part of the Reminders Of Hell Tour.
Emmure are playing The Showbox on Tuesday, December 8, as part of a full bill that puts them on the same stage as Suicide Silence, AngelMaker, and Synestia. The night is a stop on the Reminders Of Hell Tour, which runs from November 6 in Riverside to December 13 in Los Angeles.
Suicide Silence take the headlining slot. They're a five-piece extreme metal band from Riverside, California, who came out of the underground scene in late 2002 as a side project and solidified their current lineup in 2004. Drummer Josh Goddard remembers them as slower and sludgier early on, but the sound grew more powerful and energetic, pulling from death metal, grindcore, black metal, hardcore, and doom. Their debut five-song EP for Third Degree Records is rooted in fast-paced death metal but defies its conventions, shifting from grind chaos into molten sludge. After original frontman Mitch Lucker died in 2012, vocalist Hernan 'Eddie' Hermida joined in 2013. Their seventh album, Remember... You Must Die, came out in March 2023 via Century Media, produced and mixed by Taylor Young with artwork by necrosurrealist artist David Van Gough.
Emmure, fronted by Frankie Palmeri, channel their Queens upbringing into a propulsive blend of raw intensity. They share the bill with AngelMaker and Synestia, making it a four-band night. The Seattle date falls toward the end of the Reminders Of Hell Tour, which kicks off November 6 in Riverside and wraps up December 13 in Los Angeles.
