Nashville rock trio Edgehill perform live at The Barboza, an all-ages show with 21 and over to drink.
Edgehill play The Barboza on Monday, October 12. They're a Nashville trio — Chris Kelly on lead vocals and guitar, Jake Zimmermann on lead guitar and vocals, and Aidan Cunningham on drums — and they're coming in from Tennessee for a single night in Seattle.
If you're wondering where they sit, they draw on 1990s rock, with grainy guitar riffs and hooks that bring to mind MTV's Alternative Nation. It's that particular era of guitar-driven music, the kind that doesn't polish away the rough edges. The three first connected as students at Vanderbilt University, and their 2022 single "Shooting Glances" ended up with over 2 million Spotify streams.
They're touring their 2025 full-length, Ode to the Greyhouse, which they recorded over twelve days at Pachyderm Studios in Minneapolis — the same place Nirvana recorded In Utero. They worked with producer Tone Def, and the album's title is a nod to the Nashville house where the band lives and where much of the record gestated. Between the Nashville home and the Minneapolis studio, there's a fair bit of ground covered before the songs ever made it to a stage.
