Funk-soul band Diggin Dirt live with guests Yak Attack at Hidden Hall as part of the Diggin Dirt event series.
Yak Attack are playing Hidden Hall on Friday, October 23, as part of the Diggin Dirt event series. They're a live electronica power trio from Portland, Oregon, and they describe their sound as "organic electronica." The set is built on tight chops, live loops, and well-crafted songs combined with raw improvisation, which they say results in high-energy, uplifting dance music played and recorded live. Dave Dernovsek is among the band's members.
Since the night is part of the Diggin Dirt series, you'll find them sharing the bill with the funk-soul band Diggin Dirt. Between the two, the evening leans toward the danceable end of things—one side rooted in funk and soul, the other in live-looped electronica.
Hidden Hall opened in 2025 in the Fremont neighborhood and has quickly become one of the area's favorite music venues. The room features a wraparound mezzanine overlooking the stage, a striking stone wall backdrop, and vibrant lighting. The sound system is noted for its acoustic clarity and booming bass, and the venue books local, national, and international artists across all genres. It's located at 400 N 35th St in Seattle.
