Death From Above 1979 perform live at The Crocodile, marking their 25th anniversary and promoting their new album 'Private Lives'.
Death From Above 1979 play The Crocodile on Tuesday, March 31, 2027. The Toronto indie rock duo is marking their 25th anniversary, and this Seattle date closes out a North American winter tour built around their new album, Private Lives, which comes out January 29, 2027, through Last Gang/MNRK.
Private Lives is their first studio album since 2021's Is 4 Lovers and their fifth overall—a 10-song LP. The title track has a music video directed by Eva Michon and starring actor Kim Bodnia. The band describes the record as a return to "the pure industrial magic of electricity" and calls the title track "a declaration of privacy in an era of overexposure."
Death From Above 1979 has always been an iconoclastic outfit, and the new material keeps them in that same indie/alternative rock territory. Since they're touring the new record, you can expect the set to lean on these newer songs, though they've got a deep enough catalog to pull from across their five albums. The Seattle show is the final stop of the winter trek, so it's the last chance to catch them on this run.

If you've been following them since the early days, this is a good time to get back in. If you're just getting into them, Private Lives drops on January 29, so you'll have a couple of months to get familiar with the new songs before they hit the stage at The Crocodile on March 31.
