A hands-on cooking class to learn how to make pizza from scratch, including dough, shaping, and toppings.
Hot Stove Society is hosting a pizza-making class on Friday, October 23, at their Seattle space. It's called "Date Night: Pizza At Home with the Hot Stove Team," and the whole thing is led by the Hot Stove team themselves.
If you've never been, Hot Stove Society runs cooking classes across Seattle that range from fun, boozy after-work sessions to hands-on lessons on how to "cook like a pro." This one falls into the hands-on camp. You'll be making pizza from scratch, which means you're starting with the dough, working through the shaping, and then moving on to the toppings. It's a full run-through of the process rather than just assembling a pre-made crust, so you'll walk away knowing how to put the whole thing together at home.
The class is set for 5:30 PM, which puts it right in that early-evening window—late enough to be a date night, early enough that you're not fighting the dinner rush. Since it's a date night, it's built for two, though you don't necessarily need a partner to join in. The Hot Stove team will be there to walk you through the dough and the shaping, so you'll get the technique down in person rather than trying to figure it out from a video.
