Cottage Corpse headlines a rock night with Harbor Seal and Dining Dead at Hidden Hall, with costumes encouraged.
Cottage Corpse headline Hidden Hall on Thursday, October 15, with Harbor Seal and Dining Dead. It's a three-band bill of pop and rock, and the organizers are encouraging costumes, which fits the date and the names on the flyer.
Dining Dead is the Seattle-based project fronted by natives Emma Hayes on guitar and Sammy Skidmore on vocals and guitar. They're rounded out by Bogie Pieper on drums and Shannon Hargis on bass, who hail from California and Nashville respectively. The band blends West Coast style with the American South, pairing moody, melancholy twang and soul-baring songwriting with edgy, lyric-heavy, surf-rock-inspired licks. They describe the result as a Northwest sound that sits somewhere between art rock, witchy surf rock, and singer-songwriter.
With Cottage Corpse and Harbor Seal on the bill, the night is billed as three bands delivering ghoulishly good pop and rock. The costume suggestion is a nod to the season, so if you've got something in the back of your closet that fits the mood, this is a good night to bring it out.
