Christian Death perform live at The Funhouse as part of their 2026 BABY BAT PARADE Tour, with support from Altar Girl and Black Season Witch.
Christian Death play The Funhouse on Wednesday, November 18, 2026, as part of the Western US leg of their 2026 BABY BAT PARADE Tour. They're sharing the bill with Altar Girl and Black Season Witch.
If you're not familiar with the name, Christian Death are widely regarded as the founding fathers of American goth rock. They helped shape the scene by taking a relentlessly confrontational stand against organized religion and conventional morality. Formed in Los Angeles in 1979 by vocalist and lyricist Rozz Williams, the band called their sound 'death rock' rather than 'goth,' drawing on L.A. punk and heavy metal. Their doomy guitars and horror-synth textures show up on landmark albums like Only Theatre of Pain (1982) and Catastrophe Ballet (1984).
Over 17 studio albums and two live records, they've toured five of the seven continents and inspired acts like Korn, Type O Negative, and Cradle of Filth. Rolling Stone ranked them among the ten greatest goth bands of all time. Rozz Williams died by suicide on April 1, 1998, after which vocalist and guitarist Valor took over lead vocals and the band relocated to London, where they found international success. This Seattle date is one stop on the Western US leg of their 2026 BABY BAT PARADE Tour.
