A Candlelight concert where the Seattle String Quartet reimagines The Beatles' songbook as classical interpretations performed under candlelight.
The Seattle String Quartet is taking on The Beatles at The National Nordic Museum on Saturday, January 23, 2027. It's a Candlelight concert, which means the whole thing is performed under the glow of candlelight rather than a full stage rig. The quartet reimagines The Beatles' songbook as classical interpretations, so you'll hear those familiar melodies played on strings instead of guitars and drums.
The venue is the Nordic Museum in Ballard, a 400-capacity museum and cultural center founded 45 years ago by Scandinavian immigrant communities as a space to learn, reflect and gather. It explores Nordic history and immigration to the US, and its award-winning architecture takes inspiration from Nordic landscapes. The museum has several versatile event spaces, including the grand Osberg Great Hall and the modern Fjord Hall. The performance runs 60 minutes, and the show isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Beatles or their estate.
