A Candlelight concert reimagining Hans Zimmer's cinematic scores by the Seattle String Quartet under the glow of thousands of candles.
Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer comes to The National Nordic Museum on Friday, January 22, 2027, at 6 PM. It's a tribute to Hans Zimmer's cinematic scores, played by the Seattle String Quartet under the glow of thousands of candles. The concert runs about an hour, and it's a tribute experience, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Zimmer, his estate, or his official representatives.
The music is handled by the Seattle String Quartet, who rearrange Zimmer's orchestral work for four strings. The venue is The National Nordic Museum, a 400-capacity museum and cultural center in Ballard, known for architecture inspired by Nordic landscapes. It has versatile event spaces, including the grand Osberg Great Hall and the modern Fjord Hall.
Doors open 45 minutes before the show, and there's no entry once it's started, so you'll want to be there early. Seating is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis within each zone. The minimum age is 8, and anyone under 16 has to be accompanied by an adult. There's no parking on site, but the museum is wheelchair accessible.
