Concert by the crunkcore and screamo duo Brokencyde, with support from Dot Dot Curve and Nitrah Neon.
Brokencyde are playing The Funhouse on Sunday, November 22, with Dot Dot Curve and Nitrah Neon opening. The show starts at 8 PM, and the venue is at 109 Eastlake Ave E in Seattle.
If you're not familiar with them, Brokencyde is a duo from Albuquerque, New Mexico, currently made up of Mikl Shea and PhatJ. They built their following playing the crunkcore and screamo circuits, and at one point they performed the entirety of Vans Warped Tour. They've toured alongside Hollywood Undead, Senses Fail, Breathe Carolina, and Jeffree Star, and their best-known work peaked at number 86 on the Billboard 200. They've also cited co-signs from E40, Paul Wall, Fronz of Attila, Ayesha Erotica, Kottonmouth Kings, and Mickey Avalon.
Their sound sits at the intersection of crunk, hip hop, and screamo, so you'll hear the heavy bass and rap of crunk mixed with the screaming vocals of screamo. It's a specific blend that puts them right in the middle of those scenes, and they've stayed in that lane since they started. Dot Dot Curve and Nitrah Neon are on the bill as well, so there are two openers before the headliner takes the stage.
