Musical theatre and movement-based activities for neurodivergent and disabled participants ages 14+.
STG's Broadway Inclusion Program is back at Kerry Hall starting Thursday, October 8, and this quarter they're working with Disney's Beauty and the Beast. It's a weekly session that runs through December 3, so you're looking at a full autumn quarter of theatre rather than a one-off workshop. The program is built for neurodivergent and disabled community members and their families and caregivers, and it's open to anyone 14 and older.
Each week, the group meets to explore musical theatre and movement-based activities in a creative, safe environment. The sessions aren't just about learning lines or hitting notes; they're about getting moving and working through the material together. The quarter closes with a final share open to friends and family, so there's a built-in way to show what you've been working on once the sessions wrap up.
One thing worth keeping in mind is that while the program is designed for the neurodivergent and disabled community, the Kerry Hall sessions are integrated spaces that welcome neurodiverse, neurotypical, and disabled participants alike. It's meant to be a place where different ways of being and working fit together in the same room.
