Chicago metalcore band Born of Osiris performs live at The Crocodile, supported by Miss May I, Convictions and Downswing.
Born of Osiris play The Crocodile on Wednesday, December 9, as part of their Perpetual Iron Tour. They're not coming alone: Miss May I, Convictions, and Downswing are all on the bill, so it's a full night of metal rather than a single headliner. The show starts at 6 PM at 2505 1st Ave.
Born of Osiris are a Chicago quintet — Ronnie Canizaro on lead vocals, Joe Buras on keys, synthesizers, and vocals, Lee McKinney on guitar, Nick Rossi on bass, and Cameron Losch on drums. They've been around since 2007, and their most recent album, The Simulation, came out in 2019 through Sumerian Records. Before that, they put together a run of four consecutive Billboard Top 200 albums: A Higher Place in 2009, The Discovery in 2011, Tomorrow We Die Alive in 2013, and Soul Sphere in 2015. In 2017, they spent time on the road playing their 2007 debut, The New Reign, in its entirety.

The lineup has shifted a bit over the years, with Nick Rossi taking over on bass after original bassist David Da Rocha left. The Seattle date is one stop on The Perpetual Iron Tour, so the set will draw from that run. With Miss May I, Convictions, and Downswing filling out the rest of the bill, there's a fair amount of ground covered before Born of Osiris even take the stage. It's a Wednesday night show at The Crocodile, starting at 6 PM.
