Big Jay Oakerson is playing Emerald City Comedy Club in Seattle starting Thursday, October 8, with a run of five shows over three nights. He's one of the most recognizable names in stand-up today, known for a laid-back style and a dirty delivery that earned him a reputation as a 'comic's comic' in Philadelphia before he rose to mainstream fame in New York. His career spans two decades and has taken him to major festivals like Moontower, Bonnaroo, Gathering of the Juggalos, and Just For Laughs Montreal, which he's played four times. He also helps produce SkankFest, the sold-out comedy festival in Las Vegas.
Beyond the stage, he's appeared on FX's Louie and Inside Amy Schumer, on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and Conan, and played Neil, the owner of a New York rock club, on IFC's Z-Rock.
