Indie rock concert featuring Ax and the Hatchetmen headlining the Late Checkout Tour 2026, with The Rare Occasions as the support act.
The Rare Occasions play The Crocodile on Saturday, October 31, as part of Ax and the Hatchetmen's The Late Checkout Tour 2026. The show starts at 6 PM, so it's an early oneβyou'll be out and about well before the night is over.
If you're coming for The Rare Occasions, you're getting a band with a fair bit of ground behind them. They formed in Boston in 2012, and these days they're based in LA. They've built their name on garage rock anthems and vocal harmonies that stick, and they've picked up a John Lennon Songwriting Contest win along the way. Their 2016 track "Notion" is the one that went viral on TikTok and topped Spotify's viral chart, so if that's how you first heard them, you'll recognize the sound.
They've put out a few records since then. Big Whoop came out in 2021, and their third LP, Through Moonshot Eyes, arrived at the end of 2024. Between the older stuff and the new material, there's plenty to pull from for a set.
