Concert by Swedish musician and composer Anna von Hausswolff at the Neumos venue in Seattle.
Anna von Hausswolff plays Neumos on Tuesday, January 12, 2027. She's a Swedish musician and composer whose work carves out space for the celestial and the transcendent to enter the modern world, and the pipe organ is often her instrument of choice.
She first made a name for herself with Ceremony in 2012, and since then she's built a reputation for unpredictable and vast creativity. Her latest record, ICONOCLASTS, is her sixth LP and her debut on the Swedish label YEAR0001. She produced it with longtime collaborator Filip Leyman, and it brings a poppier, more vibrant element to her sound. That shift comes with some notable guests: Ethel Cain, Abul Mogard, Iggy Pop, and Maria von Hausswolff all appear on the album, and virtuoso saxophonist Otis Sandsjö adds his playing to the mix.

If you've followed her since the early days, ICONOCLASTS marks a bit of a departure from the pipe-organ-heavy work she's known for. The new material leans into a more vibrant, pop-inflected sound, though it still sits within the expansive, atmospheric territory she's been exploring for years. The show is open to all ages, with 21 and over to drink, and doors open at 7 PM.
