Experimental rock duo Angine de Poitrine perform at the Paramount Theatre, with 21 and over to drink.
Angine de Poitrine play the Paramount Theatre on Sunday, December 13, at 8 PM, with zouz joining them on the bill. The duo is Klek and Khn de Poitrine, who describe themselves as "disciples of planet Earth's rock deities" and "space-time voyagers."
Their sound is asymmetrical and dissonant, built around tight, pulsing drum grooves and intricate double-neck microtonal guitar. Vol. 1 came out in 2024, and since then they've played major Quebec festivals like the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal and the Trans Musicales in Rennes. Vol. 2 is a high-voltage album that stretches the genre's boundaries, still fueled by acid techno, disco, and rock. They also perform with the duo Mata Zyklek.
