Stand-up comedy and wine tasting show with five wine samples, performed live in English by Merrick Watts.
Merrick Watts brings An Idiot's Guide to Wine to the Kimpton Palladian Arthouse on Saturday, October 10, at 8:30 PM. It's an Australian show written by and starring Watts, who bills himself as the only comedian in the world to hold a WSET Level 3 qualification from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust. The format pairs his stand-up with a tasting of six wine varietals from around the world, so the comedy and the wine education run side by side throughout the night.
Drinking is voluntary, and non-alcoholic drinks are available for an additional fee if you'd rather skip the pours. There's one rule to keep in mind: guests aren't allowed to record the experience, so keep the phones away. The show is produced by Fever under license from Grapes of Mirth Pty Ltd, performed in English, and is wheelchair accessible.
