Agrovox, blending psychedelia, electronica and classic rock and roll, live at Conor Byrne Pub.
Agrovox play an early show at Conor Byrne Pub on Friday, October 16, with the music starting at 6 PM. It's a Ballard date, so you're in the heart of the neighborhood for the evening.
If you haven't caught them live, the sound is a mix of psychedelia, electronica and classic rock and roll. It's a broad spread to cover in one set—the trippy, swirling side of psych, the programmed textures of electronica, and the straightforward, guitar-driven energy of rock and roll—and they pull from all three. The early start means you can get your music in and still have your whole night ahead of you.
The venue is Conor Byrne Pub, formerly known as The Owl, a cooperatively run live music spot in Ballard. It's been a watering hole for Seattle musicians for the last hundred years, and a good number of the city's legacy acts got their start on its stage. The pub carries on that tradition by booking both budding talent and household names.
