Rock 'n' roll night with Acapulco Lips, The Helltones from Oakland and Girl Swallows Nightingale at the Conor Byrne Pub.
Acapulco Lips and The Helltones are playing Conor Byrne Pub on Saturday, October 24, with Girl Swallows Nightingale opening the night. It's a rock 'n' roll bill that brings together three bands on one stage, and the headlining slot is shared between Acapulco Lips and The Helltones.
The Helltones are coming in from Oakland, California, and they're a four-piece fronted by Shane Lawton on bass. Darwin Siegaldoud handles guitar and vocals, Kristin McReddie is on vocals, and Mike Lawson is on drums. With two singers in the mix, they've got a vocal presence that doesn't just sit on top of the music but works right alongside the guitars and drums. They're the visiting act of the night, so this is one of the few chances to catch them while they're through the Northwest.
Acapulco Lips share the top of the bill, and Girl Swallows Nightingale opens the evening. Between the three of them, the night covers a good stretch of rock 'n' roll, from the opening set through to the main features. It's the kind of lineup where you can settle in for the whole thing rather than picking just one act.
