A concert featuring Abby Gundersen, Noah Gundersen and Isabeau Waia'u Walker at Saint Mark's Episcopal Cathedral.
Abby Gundersen plays Saint Mark's Episcopal Cathedral on Friday, December 18, with Noah Gundersen and Isabeau Waia'u Walker joining her on the bill. It's a three-name lineup sharing one stage, and the night starts at 7 PM.
Isabeau Waia'u Walker is the one you might be less familiar with. She hails from Hawaii and has spent the latter half of her life in the Pacific Northwest, in Oregon. She released the EP Better Metric in 2020, followed by her first LP, Body, in 2022, which she recorded with engineer, bandmate, and friend Ryan Oxford at The Center for Sound, Light and Color. Her second full-length, Heavyweight, came out in 2024. Her work has been featured in OPB, Live Wire Radio, Vortex Music Magazine, Willamette Week, and KEXP.
With Abby Gundersen and Noah Gundersen also on the bill, the night brings together three artists who share a name and a region. Noah and Abby are siblings, and seeing them on the same stage usually means hearing their voices work together, so this is one of those shows where the family connection is part of the draw. Isabeau's presence adds a third voice to the mix, and her recent run of records—Body and Heavyweight—gives her a fair amount of material to pull from.
