10FOUR10 play Slim's Last Chance on Thursday, October 15, with Just Barely, SpiderCult and NovaMotor opening. It's a four-band bill, so the night starts early and runs through the evening.

10FOUR10 is a post-grunge and alternative rock duo from Casper, Wyoming. Joey Detrick handles guitar and vocals, and John Saulsbury is on drums and backing vocals. They describe their sound as drawing on Nirvana, Social Distortion, Sparta and Seether, while the lyrics lean toward Volbeat, The Glorious Sons and Queens of the Stone Age. It's a heavy-leaning set, and they're sharing the stage with three other acts, so you'll get a full night of rock in one go.

Slim's Last Chance is a neighborhood joint in Georgetown with a country-time roadhouse vibe. Come summertime, bands play from the bed of an old Ford F-600 in the big backyard while patrons lounge at picnic tables. The venue is also known for its chilis, which range from a traditional Texas Red—all beef and no beans—to an alternative turkey and white bean version, served straight up or ladled over white cheddar grits or jalapeño mac 'n' cheese.

The show starts at 6 PM, with 10FOUR10 headlining a lineup that includes Just Barely, SpiderCult and NovaMotor. Tickets are $10.
