Stand-up comedy show Genesis by Yohay Sponder at Balboa Theatre, exploring new beginnings and the source of happiness.
Yohay Sponder brings his new show Genesis to the Balboa Theatre on Sunday, April 4, 2027. It's a stand-up set that marks a shift in direction for him, coming on the heels of Self Loving Jew, the world tour that sold out across its run.
Sponder is an Israeli bilingual comedian who's been working at this for more than 20 years. He stars in television and radio shows, produces and headlines Funny Monday - Israeli Comedy in English, and performs on stages around the world. Genesis is his latest project, and he describes it as a show where he explores new beginnings, rebirth, and the source of happiness. It's new material, so you'll be seeing it in one of its earlier stops.
If you're planning to go, there are a few practical things to keep in mind. The show starts at 7 PM, and the doors open an hour before, so you've got plenty of time to get settled. The Balboa Theatre is a cashless venue, so leave the cash at home and bring a card. All ages are welcome, but everyone needs their own ticket, regardless of age.
