Think Dignity is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a birthday bash at Tom Ham's Lighthouse on Sunday, October 11, starting at 6 PM. The evening is for ages 21 and over, and tickets run from $125 to $175.
If you haven't come across them before, Think Dignity is a 501(c)(3) that serves San Diego County. They started back in 2006 under the name Girls Think Tank, and since then they've focused on advancing basic dignity for people experiencing homelessness. They do that through impact programs, Dignity Legal Services, and advocacy campaigns, and they describe themselves as an award-winning innovator of dignity-centered solutions to the challenges their unhoused neighbors face every day.
Two decades is a long stretch for any organization, and this bash is meant to mark that milestone. They've spent those twenty years working alongside the community to advance dignity, challenge inequity, and create practical solutions, and the night is about the people, partnerships, and progress that have shaped those first two decades. It's a chance to see where they started and where they've gone since the early days of Girls Think Tank.
