Live music night featuring bassist, composer and DJ Antar Martin, blending house and electronic music in a jungle room setting.
Antar Martin is playing Lou Lou's Jungle Room on Thursday, October 8, at 7 PM. He's a bassist, composer, and DJ, and the night is billed as The Antar Martin Aggregation.
What you'll hear is his blend of house and electronic music. The organizers describe it as a sensory experience of pulsating rhythms and electrifying dance moves, and that's the core of the set: Martin working as both a musician and a DJ to keep the room moving. If you've seen him before, you know he leans into the dance floor side of things, and this night is built around that.
The venue is Lou Lou's Jungle Room, located at 2223 El Cajon Blvd in San Diego. It's part of The LaFayette Hotel, and it's an original jazz supper club that also hosts live jazz nights and private parties. The name fits the vibe they're going for here, too—the house and electronic music meeting the jungle room setting.
