A laid-back creative night where attendees bring their own art supplies to draw and socialise while enjoying drinks at Whistle Stop Bar.
Sketch Party! is back at Whistle Stop Bar on Tuesday, October 6, starting at 8 PM. It's a recurring night, and the bar runs it every first and third Tuesday of the month, so if you can't make this one, there's another one coming shortly after.
The setup is simple: you bring your own art supplies—pens, markers, crayons, or chalk—grab a drink, and draw alongside other people doing the same thing. It's built as a laid-back creative session rather than a formal class, so you can work on your own thing at your own pace. The idea is to draw and make some new creative friends along the way.
Whistle Stop Bar is a San Diego hangout known for eclectic dance parties and music nights. One of its regulars is Booty Bassment, run by DJ Dimitri and Rob Moran, which is billed as the city's longest-running hip hop dance party. Sketch Party! sits on the quieter end of that spectrum, trading the dance floor for a table and some drawing paper.
