Techno night headlined by Rinzen with support from deadmau5, Lane 8 and Above & Beyond, presented as part of FNGRS CRSSD.
Rinzen plays EQ San Diego on Friday, November 20, as part of FNGRS CRSSD. He's a Los Angeles-based electronic artist, and the night is presented under the FNGRS CRSSD banner. The set kicks off at 10 PM, so it's a late one.
If you haven't come across him yet, Rinzen describes his work as building entire worlds with his music, blending cinematic sound design with forward-thinking techno production. The name comes from the Japanese word for "sudden awakening," and the project started back in early 2017. Since then, he's put out two EPs on mau5trap and done official remixes for deadmau5, Giorgio Moroder, and Kidnap. He was also selected for Mixmag's Impact series, and his work has been supported by KCRW, Mixmag, and Billboard.
He won't be the only name on the bill. The night includes support from deadmau5, Lane 8, and Above & Beyond, so the whole evening is built around that specific corner of the electronic scene. With those three on the lineup, the night is going to lean heavily into the melodic, atmospheric side of techno and house.
