Real Hypha

Real Hypha takes over Moonshine Beach on Friday, October 16, for a night that's more of a full evening than a single set. He's a San Diego-based producer and DJ, originally from Texas, and that background shows up in the music he plays. His sound pulls from trailer house and EDM, but it doesn't stop there—he brings in country, folk, and pop, too. It's a wide reach, and the night is built to hold all of it.

Things get moving early. The outdoor patio and games open at 5 PM, so you can hang out and settle in before the main action starts. The dance hall opens at 7 PM, which is when the cover charge kicks in. From 8 PM to 9:30 PM, there are line dancing lessons, so if you've never done it before, you can learn the steps before the floor gets crowded. A karaoke bar opens at 9 PM, and from there, the DJ and the dancing carry through to close. Food is served until 1 AM, which is handy if you're staying late.

If you're planning to get on the guest list, keep in mind that sign-ups close at 5 PM, and everyone needs to be in by 9 PM.
