Howl-O-Ween Yappy Hour

Howl-O-Ween Yappy Hour takes over the 5 O'Clock Somewhere Rooftop Bar on Thursday, October 29, from 4 to 6 PM. It's a Halloween-themed happy hour for dogs and their people, held up on the rooftop of the Margaritaville Hotel San Diego in the Gaslamp Quarter. The main draw is a dog costume contest, with a pup parade to go along with it, and seasonal treats for the dogs to snack on.

The venue itself sits atop the hotel, looking out over the city skyline with poolside seating and pool service. You'll find tropical handcrafted cocktails and light bites like seafood tacos, burgers, and shareable plates. The rooftop also hosts weekly live music from local San Diego artists and offers cabana rentals, with options for group events and private parties. Dogs are welcome at the yappy hour, though they need to keep their paws on the ground and off the furniture.

Beyond the rooftop, the rest of the hotel follows an island-inspired thread. LandShark Bar & Grill serves beach-inspired American fare and fresh seafood, Day Drifters Brunch runs on the weekends, and there's the Margaritaville Coffee Shop & Retail.
