Stand-up comedy show by Heather McMahan from her Burning Down The House Tour at Balboa Theatre.
Heather McMahan brings her Burning Down The House tour to the Balboa Theatre on Saturday, April 3, 2027. It's her fourth national tour, and this one lands in the Gaslamp Quarter.
If you're not familiar, McMahan is a stand-up comedian, actress, and podcaster whose work often centers on musicals. Burning Down The House follows The Bamboozled Tour and two Netflix specials. Her first, Son I Never Had!, debuted in October 2023 at number four and stayed in the top ten for a week; her second, Breadwinner, arrived on Hulu in October 2024. The Hollywood Reporter described her as an "auditory David Sedaris for the millennial set."
Beyond the stage, she's worked across a fair bit of TV. She's co-hosted the red carpet for E! at the Emmys, Grammys, and Oscars, and appeared on Is It Cake and The Great American Baking Show - Celeb Edition. She also won her first-round match on Celebrity Jeopardy, beating Cynthia Nixon and Cedric the Entertainer. More recently, she's been a frequent guest and co-host on the fourth hour of the TODAY Show with Jenna Bush Hager, and she starred opposite Nina Dobrev and Jimmy O. Yang in the movie Love Hard.
