Halloween Paint and Sip

Miranda Rose is hosting a Halloween paint and sip at The Sandbox in Pacific Beach on Friday, October 16, starting at 6 PM. It's a guided evening where you'll paint a Halloween-themed piece while you sip on a drink, with Rose leading the class from the front. If you've never picked up a brush before, that's fine—the session is built for beginners, and you don't need any prior art experience to join in.

The evening is run by Miranda Rose Art, the studio of artist Miranda Rose, who teaches every class herself. She doesn't hand the instruction off to assistants; she's the one walking the room and guiding the painting. The studio markets its workshops as beginner-friendly, and they're held across several San Diego neighborhoods—Pacific Beach, Mission Beach, North Park, Normal Heights, and Downtown—usually with drink specials on the night.

Since it's a paint and sip, the painting and the drinking happen side by side. You'll follow Rose's lead to build your piece step by step, and the drink specials are part of the deal. It's the kind of thing that works as a group outing or just a way to spend a Friday night with a drink in one hand and a brush in the other.

The class is on Friday, October 16, at 6 PM at The Sandbox in Pacific Beach, and tickets are $2.
