The 19th annual Hallo-Wine Fall Festival, a fundraiser for Home Start featuring live music, food, wine, and client stories in Point Loma.
Home Start is hosting the 19th annual Hallo-Wine Fall Festival on Saturday, October 17, at a private estate in Point Loma. It's their big fundraiser of the year, held every October in recognition of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The evening usually brings together more than 250 guests for live music, tasty bites, drinks, and a speakeasy, with heartwarming client stories shared throughout the night.
All the proceeds go to Home Start, a San Diego non-profit child abuse prevention and treatment agency. They frame their work around the conditions that push families toward risky or abusive situations: poverty, unsafe neighborhoods, a lack of affordable housing, and unemployment. The money raised provides critical assistance to the city's most vulnerable children and families, and the organization's staff serve on the front lines preventing child abuse.
