Failure performs The Rising Skyline Tour with Quannnic at Music Box SD, a 21+ standing room only show.
Failure are playing Music Box SD on Thursday, October 29, as part of The Rising Skyline Tour, with Quannnic opening. It's a 21-and-over show, standing room only, and the set is built around their latest album, Location Lost.
Failure is the trio of Ken Andrews, Greg Edwards, and Kelli Scott, still playing together after thirty years. They reunited in 2014 following a seventeen-year hiatus and put out Wild Type Droid in 2021. Location Lost, their seventh album and the one they're touring now, is their most varied to date: it holds two ballads and the acoustic "The Rising Skyline," which features Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams. That collaboration grew when Andrews and Williams rehearsed an acoustic version of Failure's "Daylight" for a Los Angeles wildfire benefit in early 2025. The record itself took shape after Andrews suffered a serious back injury that required surgery.
The band's breakup and second life were chronicled in the 2023 documentary Every Time You Lose Your Mind, so if you're curious about how they got back together, that's the place to start. The tour title comes from the acoustic track with Williams, and the set should draw from the wider range of Location Lost.
